Positive Climate Balance Sheet by 2021
Achieving a positive climate balance sheet is a further, logical step along the path on which combit embarked years ago, namely aligning the company not only in terms of economic, but rather ecological and social aspects as well. Therefore, combit is conducting a scientifically monitored climate project together with the University of Applied Sciences in Constance, Germany (HTWG).
During the initial phase the company’s CO2 footprint will be determined together with students under the direction of Professor Dr. Maike Sippel, Senate Commissioner for Sustainable Development at the University of Applied Sciences in Constance. combit has already generated savings and implemented concrete measures for the company’s routine daily operations, and further action is currently in preparation. For example, in addition to the most significant issues such as electrical power, mobility and heating, everyday factors such as meals, catering and paper consumption will be scrutinized and gradually optimized in order to reach the goal of a positive climate balance sheet for combit in 2021.
